When teaching about Satan, Jesus once stated: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” Jesus longs to give us an incredible life! Part of His plan to give us that life involves fighting for us. Jesus knows that without Him we can do nothing. So, He came, as John tells us, “to destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8 (ESV). I am so grateful we have a King who is willing to fight to the death for us!
