In this sermon we dive back into our journey through 1st Peter and explore one of the most theologically challenging statements ever penned by the Apostle Peter. Regarding the passage we study today, the great reformer, Martin Luther said: “A wonderful text is this, and a more obscure passage perhaps than any other anywhere in the New Testament, so that I do not know for a certainty just what Peter means.” I pray we’ll open our hearts and minds to all the Lord has for us today as we dive into 1 Peter 3:18-22
