In this sermon we turn our attention to the account of the Christmas story recorded by the Gospel writer Matthew, reporting the events of wise men from the east who came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who has been born king of the Jews?” Matthew 2:1-2 (ESV). Though there is a great deal unknown about these men, Matthew gives us some tremendous insight into their hearts and the life change they experienced by coming face-to-face with Jesus.  They made the only “wise” decision anyone can make when responding to God’s Divine Conspiracy of Christmas.  Their response provides an incredible template for our lives today and a great map for stepping into a New Year!
