In this sermon by Pastor Joe Still we take a look at the impact of what happened to those who were a part of the Christmas story immediately following the birth of Jesus, or what we might call “the day after Christmas”.

The day after Christmas is often anti-climatic to many, but in the biblical story found in Luke 2:15-20 we can see that immediately after Christ was born there was a dramatic affect on the shepherds, on Joseph and Mary, and others who were there for the birth. Their lives were not the same, and the impact of this miraculous birth was so great that “the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.”

In a similar manner, we are called to examine what the impact of Christ’s miraculous birth has on our lives the “day after Christmas”, and subsequently every other day of the year.
