In this sermon we begin a new teaching series for July entitled TRUE HEROES! God’s Word declares “the godly people in the land are my true heroes.” Psalm 16:3 (NLT). The Bible, God’s written Word, is filled with historical accounts of men and women who set their hearts and minds to passionately follow the will and Word of God. These men and women can become Divine Mentors in our lives, demonstrating “Christ-Like-Characteristics” through real life challenges. From them we can learn to become “true heroes” to our culture that is so desperate for Godly leaders. Each Sunday in the month of July we will examine an event from the life of a different “true hero” and a unique characteristic we can cultivate for ourselves and then demonstrate to a watching world.
