In this sermon we begin a verse-by-verse study through the book of 1 Peter. In his letter Peter writes to followers of Jesus who are facing incredible suffering and persecution. Peter writes to them to remind them of God’s great love and to teach them how to live with Christ-Centered Hope amid “fiery trials”. Peter would surely know how to do this from his own firsthand experiences. Peter shows us how, as God’s beloved children we can live daily with confidence that He is with us in the struggle and that He will fulfill all His promises to His people. And, because our Father in Heaven is faithful to all His promises, we can live with a GREAT EXPECTATION to see that all God’s promises are yes in Christ Jesus our Lord.
