In this sermon we continue our verse-by-verse journey through the book of Colossians. In this letter the Apostle Paul describes our Lord Jesus with some of the most beautiful language in all the New Testament. Paul presents Christ to us as the active Creator but also as the recipient of all creation. He shows us that Jesus was and is the visible image of the invisible God, containing within Himself the fullness of Deity. And, because of His divine nature, Jesus is sovereign, above all things with complete authority given to Him by the Father. Through his impassioned prayer for the church at Colossae, Paul shows us the central role Christ plays in making Life-change possible for us today.
